Shipbuilding & Off shore Structural Plates
Shipbuilding and offshore structural plates are used for the construction of ocean, coastal and inland river vessels as well as ocean platforms.
NISCO started shipbuilding plates production on a large scale since 1996 and takes the lead to pass the certifications of 11 classification societies with the total annual sales volume of nearly 1 million tons. The products had been awarded with the titles such as “Golden Cup Award” and “Excellent Quality Products Award” by China Metallurgical Quality Association. NISCO attaches great importance to the cooperation with shipyards and ship owners, and has established close cooperation with the well-known shipyards and ocean engineering companies by providing the best quality products with the most favorable price and offering whole ship price fixing and block delivery service.
NISCO is equipped with three plate production lines, one 5000mm rolling mill with the highest rolling force in the world, one 3500mm Steckel mill that can produce ultra-wide and thin plates, and one 2800mm medium plate mill with the highest efficiency. NISCO plate products cover a large range of specifications with thickness from 4 to 100mm, width from 1500-4700mm and length up to 24m. The production tasks for three mills are properly allocated, and production capacity and products quality are in the lead in steel industry, which satisfy the customers on thickness tolerance, surface quality, flatness, etc.
NISCO is committed to offer high quality service to the customers by implementing the integrated management of production, marketing, research and service, and has provided numerous high-end products with premium quality to the customers. Ultrahigh strength offshore plates, shipbuilding crack arrest plates, high heat input welding plates, anti-corrosion plates for freight house of crude oil ship, and stainless-steel clad plates for ship building are widely used in luxury liners, adventure cruises and ultra-thin plates for upper building of common vessels (in particular, NISCO is the only supplier in China of plates of 4mm in thickness, 2200-2500mm in width). NISCO has been the supplier for China landmark projects such as Blue Whale No.1 for exploiting combustible ice, and Blue Whale No.2 which is the biggest offshore oil drilling platform in the world, self-propelled hinged suction vessel TianKun, which is the first one of its kind that designed and built by China, and deliver the ultra-high strength plates and EH47 crack arrest plates on a large scale.
